Does Add-On scenery slow down performance? Thanks.

That depends on your system and the scenery itself.  8-)

Sorry. Sys info:

AMD, 2.2 dual core,
2 Gig ram,
SATA drive,
256 MEg Nvidea 8600 GT
22" Wide screen
Win XP Home

FSX Deluxe
SP1, 2,
Acceleration

Frame rate runs about 16 - 20 fps, and smooth with settings about 3/4 and frame rate locked at 20 fps.

The sys works fairly well, so I thought I'd muck it up with nice scenery. The Ultimate Teraine X - USA looks nice.  PC Pilot says it's a big improvement  of the default scenery in FSX. I'm aware it's not photo scenery.

Thanks

It will effect it to some degree but it is almost imposable to tell how much. As so many other factors are involved. I use Ultimate Terrain in FS2004 and it does not effect frame rates to much. In your case you might drop  to 14 to 18 but it could get worse with inclement weather. 8-)
