I liked Nicks vortex effects in FS9. My question is will FS9 effects work in FSX?  :-/ :-/

Unfortunately, no

The FX_1, FX_5 bitmaps are not the same in FSX and they are in FS9

and I will need to rewrite the FX files and the bitmap names to make it work safely in FSX without damaging the FSX installed files

HOWEVER

if you only use the FX files and DO NOT install the FX_1, FX_5 bitmaps

only install the FX_rain.bmp where I indicated and the FX files

that is the file in the download
