Any way to lessen the impact clouds have on my FPS

Postby Stubbedtoe18 » Tue Mar 04, 2008 5:16 pm

Hey guys, haven't had any leisure time for awhile due to being swamped with schoolwork.  Got to play some FSX today finally.

Anyways, I start to lag incredibley whenever I put on my clouds, and it seems to be the same significant amount whether they are 3-d or just simple.  The density doesn't make a difference either, they just kill them though.  Thanks for the help  ;D

the easy things you can do is to change the range in which you can see the clouds the bigger the area the more the clouds & the slower the fps. You can also change your auto gen settings & the amount of AI as well can help raise the fps. Check out the sticky at the top of this forum it might give you some ideas. 8-)
