It makes you sick.

FSX including FSX Steam version.

It makes you sick.

I have just put all the bells and whistles on - the UTs, GEX, ASX and XGraphics and the world of FSX is phenomenal.

Except for one thing.

At SP1 Aces went back to FS9 batching of scenery in order to help those with older and/or slower systems.

I flew in Nova Scotia, hard winter, and my eyes were killed by the flicker of trees popping up ahead as the next batch arrived.

It's not only that, for whatever esoteric reason, ACES chose not to impliment "Alpha Fading" in FSX

ACES is off playing trains.  Building a new version of MS Train
Simulator.  I bet it uses the scenery engine from FSX.  Why not!  In fact I am sure it will appear in Ship and other simulations as well.  Good return on investment - and in most cases a much narrower field of view so it will be easy to be smooth.

BUT is there any indication at all when FS double 1 is expected to arrive.

Frankly I can't see ACES and MS sticking to a two year cycle - the hardware and the add-ons are only just starting to catch up.

Has anyone got the gossip on this??
