Remote area weather

Postby CAFedm » Thu Feb 07, 2008 2:51 am

When enabling real world weather, the airport I am departing from doesn't load any type of weather (it is located in a remote place). It seems possible to gather weather data from a nearby station and apply it to your current location, but for some reason it refuses to cooperate - no changes occur. Odd thing is, the same location does call up real world weather when flying in FS9...any suggestions welcome.

That is a common problem. The airport is not close to any actual weather station. I think if you open up the weather menu you can increase the size of the area around any given station so it will include the airport. I know you can do this using Avtive Sky X. I think there is a line or two in the CFG file that controls this as well but not 100% sure. 8-)
