I don't know whats up with yours but it seems too sensitive to me.  Ive landed pretty hard sometimes with no problems.

Another idea... what carrier are you using?

Well, I am just trying to do the carrier practice landing mission. not sure what carrier that is.  I went as far as removed and re-installed FSX and Acceleration. I have no third party software installed accept for the carrier package that allows me to place Carriers anywhere.

Did you remove the pedals to see if that helps?

Try landing it with auto rudder and the joystick!
