Question about CYYZ

Postby CAFedm » Sun Dec 23, 2007 6:36 pm

Upon doing a flight out of Pearson Int'l (CYYZ), a rather startling thing was noticed...namely, that many of the terminals on the east side of the airport are gone (and which appear in FS9). There are a couple of cranes in the area so it might be a representation of the recent airport reconstruction, and if that's the case it's pretty nicely done. Odd thing is, the gates and jetways still appear - there are no terminals to connect them to. Scenery density and complexity settings are at max in the screenshot. The default FSX airport has parking codes modified in areas to keep certain airlines together, but no additional parking was added nor was any deleted. Wondering if this is the way the airport has been represented, or maybe I am somehow missing some of the scenery - any input welcome.

You sure your sliders are up? Advance animations? Specs?

Move the scenery complexity slider to the right - up - then they will come back.  Also check where some of your graphics sliders are set.

As NickN says, its all about trade-offs.  The more complexity the slower something else is.  Work the sliders to suit.

It will happen at Nellis AFB as well.  Scenery Complexity needs to ne at "Dense" or higher.
At "Normal" the hangars are gone...

Methinks ACES has done this pretty much everywhere. Nellis is not all that
complex so I can't see FPS being an issue there.....go figure...

These are the scenery settings.

Gave it a go after having rebooted the computer awhile later, without any change. I also reduced all traffic to zero, with no change. Tried KEDW and it certainly looks like everything's there. Not a huge deal, this isn't my home airport or anything, but it's kind of weird having planes parked with airbridges that meet empty air on the receiving end. I'll just use CYTZ instead. :)

Hmm... what are your specs? Which OS and which version of it?

Make sure you have the newest graphics drivers for your card.
