Creeping problem

Postby alb469 » Fri Nov 30, 2007 4:44 pm

Is there any way to stop turboprop a/c from creeping forward when at idle.I have noticed that it is much worse in fsx than it was in fs9. Whan you start in fsx your parking brake is off in fs9 it was on.I have drove thru terminals before I can stop the a/c.Good thing its not in real life or there would be a lot of people getting chopped into little pieces. When using turboprops now, I try to start on the ramps. I have tried to set the parking brake using the default flight but it does not work. Is there someplace in the cfg to set it on?

If you save your default flight with the parking brakes set, then the parking brakes will be set in any new flights that you create. It will not change the parking brake setting in any flights you load from your previously saved flights.

Also on turboprops once the engine is started reduce the idle to 'low idle', or Mixture axis if you have one set on your joystick.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
