Static ATC sounds

Postby garymbuska » Sat Oct 27, 2007 7:25 pm

After I finally got FSX up and running I notice that I get static for some ATC messages it does not happen all of the time and it does not appear to be just one response. Some of the response made by AI to ATC has static as well and you can not here ATC at all ? 8-)

Not me. Every once in awhile, I'll hear a quick squelch at the beginning or at the end of a transmission, but I've never had a completely garbled transmission. I can't even offer any suggestions. Hope you can get that sorted out. Semper Fi, Dave

Maybe this is normal as this only happens every now and then.

I think it is a corrupt file. I also get it on view changes and flap settings as well as the ATC.
I did find this link:
http://forums.flightsim.com/dc/dcboard. ... 8318&page=

but cannot seem to make any sense of it.

I have had this once...but for FS9 for 7 months I lived with it until my PC broke....and my discs were scratched. So I bought one of eBay and reinstalled it andI keeping it clean forever! ;D.

Thanks,

I have the same problem.  I can easily solve it by pressing the "q" key on then off.  I don't know what is causing it, but since it is so easy to fix I really haven't taken the time to investigate.  But I am curious to see if anyone knows what this is.
