frame rate drop

Postby n_richardson05 » Sat Nov 10, 2007 7:06 pm

hello i have a problem. Before fsx acceleration and sp1 i was happy as a clam :) when i managed to squeez out 30 fps, with out sacrificing how it looked. i happly instaled sp1 with promices of vastly improved fps. 30%-40% is what i herd. Well in fact it did the opposite it cut my frames in half and made everything real jerky. after re installing the game i was happy again then i bought fsx acceleration to my dissapointment it did the same because i think it came with sp1. is there a fix or somthing that i am un aware of. I tweeked and played with the configurations but sp1 refuses to go above 20 fps with out being really jerky even when i throw all the sliders down to the minimum spcs its still jerky above 20 fps i cant figure out why. please help  :'(

im running on vista if that makes any diff
big or small i like them all ...? that dosent sound right

Most people that I am aware of, including myself, that had the same thing happen with installing acceleration, seem to have needed to update the vid card drivers.
I myself did not have any problem with sp1, but acceleration caused my fps to drop like a cannonball off a cliff the first night after I installed.
Getting the most recent vid drivers is the only "fix" that I am aware of.
However, I still experience occasional massive fps drops, even with nvidia v169.xx beta drivers, and have resorted to assigning a refresh scenery command, under the key command options menu, to my f12 key.
