Graphics Settings

Im curious about the best graphics settings for FSX something that is for the average computer and doesnt lag much i want more like vehicles in the game rather then the buildings you know like the ground crew and boats in the water any advice would be appreciated. ;D
Need artist to repaint aircraft with WesternBoundAir....

autogen and scenery complexity down and turn up the traffic

The settings are very hard to predict, close to impossible to do with out extensive cp testing and lots and lots of trial and error, If i recall correctly, there was a website that tested FSX for you and recommended some settings for you but I can't seem to remeber it. Aside from that its TRIAL AND ERROR!!! GUESS AND CHECK!!!!! Just fire up the sim and try different settings!

There is no such thing as "best settings for FSX". Settings will depend on your system and how it's set up. There are a lot of suggestions in the stickies at the top of the forum. Try those first and work from there to find what works on your system.

Thanks alot guys so far i tried settings on high then high scenery which lagged alot then just high traffic which lagged a little.But like you said trial and error ill figure it out thanks again.

there are some tricks i tryed at first 1 was using fs2004 ac if your really hurting on frame rates that helps. the other is just using small aircraft. 3d clouds are also a big drain if you can deal with no clouds do so
big or small i like them all ...? that dosent sound right
slew mode dose not count as flying

Yea thanks but i dont know i swicthed over to FS2004 and put all the graphics settings on ultra high like all of them and the game ran perfect so for now ill just play that im trying to get an alienware soon anyway.
