FS Autostart setup ?

Postby caveman16 » Wed Aug 22, 2007 1:36 pm

Hey Guys, wishing you a nice day,

     I need help as I must be doing something wrong when trying to setup and use FS Autostart.   I keep reading the instructions [ seven printed pages I've found here and there ].   I just can't seem to get it right.   Here's what's happening ;

     I study the services and those I wish to stop, I do so in the "action" column to stop & restart.

     I haven't touched any of the "Programs" modules with the exception of my anti-virus program which  in the action column  - - stop & restart.

     In the "Configure" section is where I think I'm messing-up but don't know what to do about changing it.   The Profile Description;  " This is the default profile" should I change this to something else and if so - - -what ?
     In the path to app; I have c:\program file\microsoft games\microsoft Flight SimulatorX
     The "Command Line" I've left blank.
     The "Process Priority"  I have; Above normal.
     I don't understand the block; "This is not the main app"
     The delay before auto starting other programs; 60 seconds.
     All the other blocks listed in "Miscellaneous options" I've left alone - -  not knowing what to do.
     The last section; auto launch the following - - -  I've left blank , again because I don't know what to do.
     Then I clicked "Save".

     When I click start; I'm asked ;  Do you wish to close the FSautostart GUI before launching.  Sometimes I click yes or No - - -I don't see any difference  !!

     To run a check on myself, I again open "FSautostart" only to see my "stop & restart" are still running , after I launch FSX.

     Perhaps others are having these problems also and are too shy to ask for help.   I really earn my name "caveman".

     Sorry for being so long-winded but I just wanted to explain this the best way I could.   Thanks for your help and patience.
