and have no problem putting the ATC multi screen

Postby lordofyardley » Sat Aug 11, 2007 8:43 pm

I have two screens and have no problem putting the ATC screen for example on the left screen but I have been unable to put the maps on the left screen while flying on the right (main) screen. If I click on maps I get the map but its dedicated and I can't move it over to the other screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would like to have the main screen flight activity and the map showing on the left - as in sort of real life.

If you are using the default map system in FSX, opening the map actually pauses the game. That is, you cannot use the default map system and fly at the same time.  Utterly frustrating, I know.

I think there may be some add-ons that provide alternate map options for the game.  If I remember what they are or where they can be found, I will let you know (but I am sure someone will probably beat me to it).

All the best,

Go to the file section of Avsim, look for Talal version 3.  Use Talal as your search criteria.  It will furnish you with a live map which runs at the same time as FSX and I believe FS2004.  It gives a radius of about 320nm, all airports, NDB`s, Approaches, ILS frequencies and a whole lot more.

Though many rightly advocate the use of normal maps and proper navigation, this user specifically asked for a live map.  This is his free choice and the information is to suit that.
