Log Book

Postby Lefsa123 » Sun Aug 05, 2007 6:02 pm

I made a big jump from fs2000 to FSX and have a problem with the logbook.  It doesn't seem to keep track of my hours like 2000 did.  I don't always have the time to fly from point A to point B without pausing the sim. (Twin one year olds do consume alot of my "spare" time.)  Would that keep the flights off the log, to be more real world?  Any other info I can give, let me know.  Many thank in advance.

I've heard of a few users who have had problems with the logbook and theres a simple fix I believe. I unfortunately don't remember it, however I do know pausing wont keep the entry from being in the logbook.

I've always had problems with it. If anyone knows the fix, please post.

http://www.simviation.com/fsxmisc1.htm second to the bottom  ;)

You will find a log book editor program allowing you to fix the missing gaps by manually adding data.

This does require JAVA to be able to work and is a much needed tool as the FSX log book is as unstable as puke in a tumble dryer.

Use another spreadsheet program to log your flight time. You won't regret it ;)

I am using good old pen and paper for my log entries. :-X  Seems more reliable than FSX.  But I will try some of the other suggestions.  Thanks for the input everybody! :)

Stop by a small airport and pick up a real log book. They run around $10.
