FSX Standart question

Postby Meck » Sat Jul 14, 2007 10:09 am

Hey, again me with a strange problem:

I owne the standart version of FSX and recently noticed, that planes like the Maule or the Grumman Goose appear in the FSX -> SimObjects -> Airplanes folder. But when I launch FSX these deluxe version planes don't appear in the aircraft selection. Is there a way to make them flyable, or are they just trash that can be removed?

Thanks...

edit: ok, my fault. I should have searched more exactly for that problem, as I found something that probably matched the question above.
But if someone has a complete solving of this problem I would be pleased to know...

Don't trash 'em, they appear as ai, and are there if you fly MP with other that fly them from the deluxe version.

For kicks, just throw a panel in 'em and you can select and fly them. Of course the 2d panel won't match and the vc will be incomplete.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Ok, that sounds good. Though they won't be high end models?!  :'(

Making good quality, properly oriented VCs for those AI planes seems like a good place for add-on developers to focus.

They have the same model quality as any of the default aircraft. Their the same models as in the deluxe version,

...Tried out and I'm nearly happy with what I've done according to your hints; but aren't there any specific panels out there for the three models (Goose, Maule, Dash)? Maybe even VCs?
Haven't found any for FSX...
