Throttle/Jet

Postby KLM57 » Wed Jun 06, 2007 10:51 am

I need Help!

Please, the experts are asked:

My jets, not the props, in FSX run already on the ground with some 70 % of their power. Therefore I regularly crash into airport buildings  :D.

Landing is also almost impossible. I dont bring them down to an acceptable speed for approach.

Would be very pleased for some advise!

Hmm sounds like a conflict between your sticks throttle and the keyboard controls. Close the throttle on your joystick and then press F1. That'll bring your engines to idle and then only use the throttle on your stick ;)

Do you have more than 1 controller?  If you do you could have more than 1 axis configured to the throttle.  I have had that happen before.

if none of those work your joystick might need to be calibrated.

Could you have saved the previous flight with the throttle at these settings with the AP (auto pilot) on? That could do it!

Many thanks!

I am an idiot  :D. Yes this was the mistake, I landed in Budapest/Hungary, not de-activating the AP and had the throttle on some 75%.

Thanks again, you are the expert, I was looking for!

Glad I could help. This has been an FS problem for a loooong time! It just came to me this morning that it might still be a problem in FSX :P Funny it should have happened in my corner of the world :o ;D
