New here, but have been lurking for several months.  Sp-1 has been giving me grief.  I am finding it difficult to get FSX to run on my system now.  The so-called blurries (not as sharp texturing would be more accurate description) are not as frustrating as the massive stuttering I am getting.  Pre Sp-1 would induce micro-stuttering when calling textures particulariily trees.  Now I get screen jumping when textures are loaded, again most notably with the trees.  For example flying over mountains before woud induce micro stuttering but little dip in frame rates.  Now the same flight induces major stuttering with large frame rate spikes as much as 30 frames.  I have the Affinity set to 3 and have been playing with the TBM adjusting 40- 125 with no success. kept same settings as pre sp-1: most maxed out except for water and cloud draw, with airline set at 30, GA 22, Airport veh high, Road 25, ships 75, boats 70.  Any insight woud be appreciated, thank you.  My specs are:

                                                                                      E6700 (stock)
                                                                                      7950gt 512meg (overclocked to 565)
                                                                                      4 GB 533 RAM
                                                                                      Windows Xp 64

Whoops!

I meant make swap wait timeout 1.5 times your framelock. Not 1.3333. Sorry my math is messed up. So ALROT get your framelock and multiply it by 1.5 and use that number for your swap wait timeout value.

[TERRAIN]

SWAP_WAIT_TIMEOUT=

The default is 30 frames.

Heres what I think:
If you lock your framerate BELOW 20 then SWAP WAIT TIMEOUT=30 (default) will need to be lowered too or the fibres will be abled to run longer before they are timed out which may cause blurries (for some reason?). If your framerate is above 20 then the time before it is timed out is lowered so then the terrain gets LESS time to load which can also give you blurries.

That's why I said multiply it 1.5 times your framelock as that should give it the same time as default to load terrain (Of course at a diferant frame rate).

Nick will probably think I'm some retarded 15 year old who thinks he knows how a game works, but hey it was worth a shot.

Actually, if it was me giving out advice for that setting, I would have assumed the following:

1.      24 FPS is the standard accepted lock by MS Developers for MSFS

2.      They know people will push for 30
