Mission Screw Up

Postby Bubblehead » Wed Apr 18, 2007 6:50 pm

I messed around with the default aircraft (adding and deleting textures) and accidentally deleted AB321 Paint4. Now when I try to play the "Rome-Naples Airline Run" misssion game, I get this notice that 'initialization failed for AB321 Paint 4. The aircraft that appear insted was the default glider (which will never get to where its suppose to go). I reloaded AB321 Paint 4 and it's in the aircraft selection list. Anyone got any suggestion how I can install the aircraft back in the "Mission" folder?

Load the FSX uninstaller and select "repair installation".

This should get you the paint scheme back.

Just so I don't screw up, did you mean I have to run disks 1 (and 2?) of FSX but I have to select the "repair" option? will that re-install all the default aircraft without conflict with the downloaded ones?

I don't know. I never had to repair install FSX myself, since I got all the original, unmodified files zipped up on a DVD. Makes replacing defective parts of FSX much easier. ;)
