I can't get them to work. FS9 textures don't come with a texture.cfg file. And FSX repaints do.
This will depend on the aircraft. The repainted textures must be for the correct model. Many FS9 aircraft will display in FSX without any modification or a Texture.cfg so repaints for that aircraft will also work. You could create your own Texture.cfg or paste copies of the common textures into the new Texture folder.
