Adapted for FS10?

Postby rootbeer » Fri Mar 02, 2007 3:31 am

Just skimming through the downloads for FS10 and I see Mike Stone's C337 has been "adapted" for FS10 by another gentleman. What exactly must be done to make an airplane from FS9 function in FS10? If it's a long, complicated and extremely technical explanation, just say "Lots."

Depends how far you want to go. A basic "update" might involve re-aliasing the panel/sound to a default FSX aircraft & adding a couple of entries to Aircraft.cfg + a thumbnail for the selection menu. You can easily do this yourself. More complex updates might involve changing the texture format, adding new FSX-compatible gauges (& possibly a complete new 2D panel) plus improved flight dynamics.

Thanks. It seems the update can be as minimal or as maximal as the person doing the update would like it to be, depending on his talent, energy or time.
