Did you definitely download the FSX version and not the FS9 one?

From the file description it's an update of the freeware version by Alphasim. Although these are ex-payware & extremely good quality they will probably be FS2002 visual models. It's not possible to do anything about that without the source file.

Had the same problem, kicked it off the disk again. Shame.
