ATC Window?

I need yalls help, im extreemlyticked off... I bought the game FSX not realizing I was getting the standard edition.  after a month of hearing people talk so great about the atc window and a few other things i convinced my wife to let me get the deluxe edition.   Now for some reason unknown to me i cant get the ATC window to work!  Ive even done a completely fresh install and still no atc window option.. can someone please help me out.  what am I doing wrong?

ATC is only for multi player..... log into gamespy, find a session, select your role as atc, at airport of choice then wait for it to load, you should find yourself in a tower, you will need a mic to communicate with other players.

yes ive already logged into multiplayer and tried to select role but its not working.  thats my issue.

Maybe your computer still thinks your in standard??  Did you fully uninstall it first? I know its kind of a silly question but I'm not sure whats causing the problem

I can't imagine that the standard version has no ATC window. Every version of MS has had an ATC window (at least since the 98 version and prpably earlier, can't think that far back in time...LOL) and it's needed to do comms with the ATC controller offline. There is no other way to do comms while in offline play.

Do you have turned on the option (which is normaly set to on) that the ATW window is automatically opened when there is a message from the ATC to you? If not, you will hear the ATC talk to you but you will not see the ATC pop up unless you hit the ATC window key (standard the key above tab unless changed manualy) to bring the ATC window up yourself.

In multiplayer, there is not always need to use an ATC window and in many session you won't see one.

ohh ok its not MP your having trouble with. No FS MP does have the standard ATC window however, FSX now has a tower available and you not supposed to see the ATC window anymore.  As for offline flight I have no Idea but try resetting the key assignment, perhaps that will help?
