Learning Centre

Postby dale_8888 » Tue Feb 13, 2007 8:21 am

Hey guys,

I was trying to do the learning centre stuff and I got stuck on the VOR lesson because it says follow the VOR at 360 until 3.0nm past DME, then head West, so of course I do that and as soon as I am West it says I'm distracted and I should redo the lesson. Well I redid the lesson about 10 times and now it's reeallly pissing me off, so I thought I'd ask for some advice. What am I really supposed to do in that mission? All I wanted to do was learn how to do some Nav flying :(

Not sure about the lessons in FSX Dale, but in FS9 the lessons were well known to be full of bugs, with some being nigh on impossible.

For the time being maybe this excellent site will help you with what you need to know: http://www.navfltsm.addr.com/vor-nav.htm

Hope this helps a bit,

TSC.

You sure it was set to the correct VOR?

Hey, no I'm not sure that it was set to the correct VOR, however the "instructor" voice said that it was already set, and it had the right direction. But if I went straight, turned right, turned left, I failed!

Hey, sorry not to acknowledge your comment. Yeah I looked at the site, and it was really good, cheers.

It was very good, but I've also got the right books to learn about Nav, but I'm too lazy. Cheers.

LOL - join the club Dale, I think you have to be in the right frame to read about radio navigation or you can just forget about trying - thats how it is with me anyway :)

Cheers,
