Welcome to SimV Jmj.

If I knew the answer, I'd tell you. However, I don't, but I'm sure someone more gifted in the intracacies of FSX will have the answer for you soon. :)

jmj,

Hi and welcome to SimV.

I seem to remember reading in another post that to have those work you need a VERY current video card that supports the latest shader technology.  At least that is what I THINK I remember reading.

Someone will eventually chime in with accurate info.

best,

Me? Ok... ;)

Yes it does require that, but if you don't know if you have shader or not, just try this.

Under the 'Display' settings, check "advanced animations".

I think in addition to the ctrl+j, you need to open the main exit. shift+e

So, in summary,

shift+e
ctrl+j

Moving jetway.

Make sure you have advanced animations on.

Meh, just for note, you don't have to.   ;)  Whenever I start a flight, the engines always off, so I attach the jetway and usually forget about the door, so they have about 10 seconds to get into the plane when I remember to open it  ;D

You need  a video card with shader model two or higher, advanced animations needs to be enabled, and scenery complexity needs to be Dense or higher.
