Where's my Goose?

Postby falguy58 » Mon Dec 18, 2006 2:29 pm

Can anybody please tell me where i can find the Grummen Goose on my fsx .I can only find 18 of the aircraft but there are 21 according to my fsx file . The Goose is explained in detail in the learning section but I can't find any way to locate this plane or the other 3 that don't show up in the choose aircraft page .I don't want to move the file as there doesn't seem to be any logical location to move it to . Everything is installed properly .My pc is new and runs at 2.34 mhz. w/plenty of ram 2gb. on a dual core . The pc isn't the problem .
Thanks for any help regarding this issue .

Just the standard edition. Thought that would be enough but since all I can do anymore is stare at a t.v. or my pc I have found this fantastic form of escape really entertaining.

Just the standard edition.

That would explain it. I think the Goose is included in the Deluxe Edition only. The other 3 aircraft in your airplanes folder that aren't listed on the menu are probably unflyable AI Only drones for use as AI traffic.

PS. I wish they had stuck with a single version of FSX like they did with FS9. It would save an awful lot of confusion. Full list of aircraft in both versions here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_Simulator_X

Just for info, Bill Lyons made quite a nice goose for FS9.
It's not as good looking as the FSX default one, but it looks damn good anyway !! Definitely worth a try. I don't know if it works with FSX, though....  :-/

Oh, just a problem I noticed: you cannot land on water, you get a splash crash  :-/
It may be because of the demo, since I can't even land on the ferry boats with the Robinson (I get a crash as soon as I touch the helipad :-? )
