Special Effects=?

Postby ThePilot_Ace » Sun Dec 10, 2006 2:52 pm

Hi, can someone please tell me what the "Special Effects" in the display settings does and if it has any effects on FPS in major airports/cities. The description is very vague in FSX, and I did not know that there were fireworks in the game..

747 wing bending with Gforce

Actually, the wing flex is considered an "advanced animation" that uses inverse kenetics [a first in the FS series] such as skin and bones. Therefore, they are not affected by the "special effects" option but rather by the "advanced animations" option. However, not all cards support this function.
