GPS curser for nearest airport not working?

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to select another nearest airport  by trying to get the curser to move down the list after pressing the NRST button in the cessna c172SP skyhark with the G1000. I think you have to press the FMS somehow to do this but nothing happens. why?
