Not too technologically experienced

Quick question,

Because FSX is a DVD instead of a CD, will that have any effect on graphics performance? Not asking if the graphics will be better, because that is already a fact, I am asking if better graphics will run smoother on an average system?

No.  FSX installs from the DVDs to your computer.  After that, once you run and activate the program, you don't need the dvd in the drive.

okay thanks for the information, but that is not what I was asking about. I was wondering if a less-advanced system would be able to run the sim smoother because it is a DVD instead of a CD.

Let me put it another way.

The dvd is justs the way to put the program on your computer.

Once that dvd disc is not in your computer, for all practical purposes, you can physically remove the dcd drive itself, and it will have no effect on performance.

THen you worry about the performance issues with your own hardware setup of hard drive, RAM, video card, etc.

No, because as he said, once its installed, the DVD part of it is irrelavent, especially if it is no longer in the drive.
