For any of those who are familiar with the process of mip-mapping your aircraft in FS9, I have heard that there will be no need for this in FSX. Even though there is backward capability with aircraft, the FSX newer aircraft will be mip mapped when creating, repainting or developing.
The reason I say this is that the CFS3 aircraft seem to all be mip mapped. It is part of the process I would assume when the new CFS3 engine was developed. The detail on the default CFS3 aircraft is far superior than the default FS9 aircraft. You can see from my shots.

I guess what I am saying is that I mip map every aircraft I download. The FSX aircraft and future repaints will NOT need to be mip mapped because of the newer version.
Can anybody confirm this?
