Our colleagues at Gamespot, one of the major computer games websites, have once again scored favorably with MS and will be hosting a 'demo' of the upcoming FSX - MS's latest Flight Simulator version to be released by the end of October. The demo currently is 800 Mb large.

Asus K8v se deluxe motherboard
1.5gb pc3200 RAM
128mb palit geforce 6600gt
200gb+80gb hard drives

This is PERFECT timing. I just got my new Logitech Extreme 3D Pro corded joystick...and,tonight,I get to try Flight Simulator X's demo out!! WOOHOO!!!  ;D

Sorry if this is a little off-topic,but will FSX (demo and fullversion) have Starforce or Securerom..
Or will MS repeat FS2004's way and only not allow you to copy the game disc??  Just curious....

BTW,I only have XP SP1.(my own personal choice)..Will Microsoft allow me to install the FS X demo (and full game) without upgrading to SP2?? (I'd rather not install SP2).

Why its it important to have Service Pack 2 installed?

I have managed very well so far with the original OEM version of Windows XP and Service Pack1...therefore avoiding all the problems that SP2 users have in Multiplayer...(Firewall problems, etc)... ;)...!
