Does this mean that the new water textures will be DX9 compatible? Unless of course if that machine had a DX10 card already in there...

Looks pretty good...love the water and how the rig reflects on it... 8)

I agree........ for serious simmers it is about more than "eye candy".  Yes the graphics look like a great improvement......... but what "functional stuff" have they changed?

And to actually get those graphics along with decent framerates........ what kind of machine will be necessary?  (Certainly nmot the "minimum specification" they will post on the box.   :P)

best,

HA! So true.  Have you looked at the minimums on the box for FS9?  I have a computer way more than twice as good as whats required and I STILL dont get what the preview screenshots showed

I thought I was looking at a real life Bell 206 landing.

It was on twin 7800GTX's or that's atleast what a dev said, he also said fsX isn't SLI optimized.

Yes them videos and pictures are DX9

though cool, i did not get a good feel for the new textures they use. i would also like to see some fixed wing films exp jets. lets see a landing. the wingflex, panels tire smoke, airports. i have not seen a good screen shot of an airport yet aaaaa a little tase of whats to come makes me wiggle in my chair and other such excited movements.
big or small i like them all ...? that dosent sound right
slew mode dose not count as flying
