hmmmm....noticed the contrails are mushy, and seem to be in a loop were there is a space bar every few seconds......is there a good freeware available or a cheaper payware which is good?

It sounds to me that something that you have added has changed the contrails files. Try this https://simviation.com/1/search?submit= ... p&x=15&y=5

ha....i actually picked up contrails pro.....and it wouldn't install.............flightsimtools, the developer, seems to be defunct.....will have to see if the people from whom i purchased it will refund.......meanwhile i'll check out the ones you recommended

hmmmm..........since flightsimtools seems to have closed, i tried contacting pcavaitor australia regarding info on how to get contrails pro working or refund, and they don't seem to be responding.....i would check before purchasing anything from them.....i also contacted the usa site, but no response too.....maybe they 're folding up ?

The default files used by FSX for contrails are as follows
CONTRAIL_L.FX & CONTRAIL_S.FX
notice the extension FX this is very important you should be able to find the original files on one of the install cd's
These file are locate inside of the effects folder

I also found this post that shows how to edit the contrails but it looks a little involved but you might want to look at it
