After all this time I finally managed to get Acceleration to activate. The problem turned out to be in the registry. I found a post telling you to edit the registry as you needed to change the upper filters
It states for you to delete anything other than PartMgr. When i looked I found partmgr and thought it was correct until I noticed the upper case P and M so i thought that could be important after making the change i got an message stating that there could be no blank values in the field and the registry editor would remove them I clicked okay and closed the editor started FSX and lo and behold I got the activation screen for Acceleration
I could not believe it was so simple to fix
