Mission Scenery?

Postby Zaphod » Sun Dec 11, 2016 11:47 am

Hi all.
Long time since my last ridiculous question but here goes.
Is it possible to use the scenery from "Missions" in free flight?
Specifically, I would like to use the scenery from the "Carrier Practice" mission with a Harrier jump jet and be able to fly from, and land back on the carrier after flying around the carrier support ships. If it is possible, how do I initially find the fleet? Once found I will save the flight with the Harrier on deck and the job's a good one.

Any help appreciated.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. But why take the risk?

I could be wrong but scenery is scenery the only thing you would have to do is to find out where the scenery is located and make a copy of it and put it in addon scenery or in the regular scenery

folder. If you put it in the addon scenery folder you may have to activate it. It will depend on where you put it at.
I sometimes just put addon scenery in my regular addon scenery folder not making a special folder for it. By doing it this way it will be activated as soon as I start up FSX. All you have to do is to copy the BGL files into the addon scenery/ scenery folder
You will have to check to see if there are any textures for it as well and move them also.
