My little Stick of Joy..... ...>>>

http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/fly5.html

Even after zillions of years, and a pile of very expensive Flight Yokes and Pedals (Xmas Presents, etc), cluttering up my spare room...

I have always found the simple Twist (Rudder control) Joystick to be more than adequate for all my aircraft and all my flights!

It takes up hardly any room on my desk, and I can poke it to one side when I want to do some typing, and I don't trip over any dust-collecting Pedals on the floor!

I can even use it to fight off advancing Alien Space Ships from the Planet Zorg, in my various Computer Games!

Paul...Joysticks are cool.... ..!

Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

Hi there!

I'm not an expert on computer hardware, but here's my take on learning to fly:

*Complete at least a few of the lessons with Rod Machado in the Learning Center.
*Work on the Tutorial missions before going on to the other ones. Be careful if you're playing with any Acceleration material: the tutorials that come with the *Acceleration pack aren't numbered, so be sure to dig around and look for them before undertaking missions in the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18, AugustaWestland EH101, or North American P-51 Mustang.
*Do NOT try flying any aircraft without a joystick, or at least a universal game controller, because trying to fly with the keyboard is a pain in the arse.

I would suggest that you get at least a joystick that has a twisting motion as well so you can use it as a rudder. Even with auto rudder it really does not work the same. A rudder is needed for just about any aircraft.
However I know for a fact that there is at least one aircraft that does not have a rudder at all. It has a vee tail and uses the elevators as a rudder as well. For the life of me I can not think of the model
Of course you have the flying wing but I am not sure if that exist for FSX and the twin tail aircraft that has two rudders.
