Search add-on scenery

Postby Flying Trucker » Thu Mar 10, 2016 3:50 am

Good morning all...

I am in the midst of Downloading Return to Misty Moorings Scenery on my FSX/Acceleration.

All is going well...Scenery Objects Tester is good.

I have Misty's Place in my search default scenery and it works great:
Changing Current Location>Select Aircraft Windows>2 Buttons showing:
1...Search Default Scenery
2...Search add-on Scenery

I have downloaded the Misty Mooring Legacy Collection.

There are around 35 locations and I am adding just a couple to get started...

I would like them to show in the Search add-on scenery but do not know how to do this.

Do they need to be placed in the Search default scenery first or is this where they HAVE to go?

Cheers...Doug

Hi Doug,

I may be mistaken, but I believe this is something that depends on how the scenery was built. It's not something you can modify when you add the sceneries to your library. It's something internal to the BGL files.... I think :(

Thanks Stephan... ;)

Got your message, thanks for the quick reply...

Guess I will just have to keep it in the Add On Scenery Search Default Scenery Section...

Wonder why they have the two Buttons anyway :?:

What I did was add the Letter "M" twice to my Camps/Bases so I will know that the Scenery belongs to Misty Moorings before adding the scenery to my Add On Scenery in FSX/Acceleration.

I believe the "Search Addon sceneries" is something which is inherited from FS9 and the FS9 scenery format. But probably only a scenery-expert can answer this :/

Yes, I haven't cured that disease yet ;D
Although I greatly reduced the frequency. I just go when I feel the need.
