FSX Brakes always on

FSX Brakes always on

Postby drjlm » Sat Feb 06, 2016 11:35 pm

Maybe this has been resolved through an earlier post but..... I can't find the answer.

I just installed the latest North American / Fiat F86 saber file. When I started up, the red BRAKES indicator was on in the lower left. Nothing I have tried will seem to release the brakes. I have used the various sensitivity tricks described on other sites. I have reinstalled FSX, nothing works.

I am using wndows 10 and have been using FSX for years without this problem. It only seems to have started following the F86 install.

Any thoughts?

I would check your default commands I think that the SHIFT PERIOD command is the default keystroke to release brakes.
Now if you are using peddles than the problem is in the sensitivity of the brake peddles.
I also use Windows 10 and have CH rudder/brake peddles and the red light will sometime stay on so I turned down the sensitivity. It still come on every now and than but i find that applying and releasing brakes clears it up. I think this is caused by the bouncing of the peddles.
But if you have changed the default commands than you need to reset it.
Just look under OPTIONS SETTINGS ASSIGNMENTS I think this is correct at work right now so i could have it wrong.
