Whats going on here then

Postby Shadowcaster » Wed Nov 04, 2015 2:48 pm

Seems to be affecting all my helicopters all over the world. Instead of nice dust I get an oil slick, I think I must have some textures missing but where did they go. :? In a word HELP!.

Cheers
Rich

Evidently at sometime you've downloaded an ADD ON' scenery file, or some other file and it has replaced / corrupted the Original Default FX Texture file that's needed.

the problem may be located in your EFFECTS / Texture folder within the MAIN FSX folder.

don't know if you'll be able to spot it right away or not ???

you could try reinserting your Flight Sim Discs and use the FIX feature to see if it'll correct the problem - don't forget to make back up copies of any additional aircraft & sceneries 1st tho,,, just in case.

Cheers for that Jetranger answer was spot on. Must have had a senior moment I moved some textures out a couple of days ago thinking they were in the wrong place and completely forgot that I did it, good job I don't empty the waste bin everyday.

Thanks again
