Jetway and utilities

Postby milesg » Sat Sep 19, 2015 4:27 pm

Good afternoon..Id like some information on how, if possible, adding the jetways and utilities ( stairs, trucks, etc )to the aircraft config., , plus make the backup alt and speed gauge also to work and make the sound in certain bottons or knobs in the upper panel for the A319DRUKAIR work.
Ive seen that the Airbus dosent have these gauges working and the upper panel sometimes dosent work at all..
See, this A319DRUKAIR, is the only craft that Ive seen that opens ALL 4 doors plus the 2 cargo doors and it will look excelent if it had all the utilities available PLUS the workin backup alt and speed gauges and the spounds of the upper panel.
Cant we get a craft with EVERTHING working..???????
Ive seen crafts that when you are at the gate, the jetway goes to the back door...yes its the aricraft config....but cant it be a normative or fixed issue that ANY CRAFT POSTED HAVE AT LEAST THE ESSENCIAL...Colors out of this......but jetways, utilities, working gauges..these are the life of ANY CRAFT....Im I wrong ????
I think it should be a plus for all SIMVIATION fans..
I droped the A340-600 because the upper panel and the gauges dont work.
If Im going to fly, Id like it good if not great.
Thank you for all the information and I hope that this petition is heard...

As for working gauges in any freeware aircraft what do you expect for free?
Most Payware aircraft are designed in detailed as it can be, with working panels just like the realthing
I have a couple that have working FMC(Flight Management Computer)
Now there is a program that allows you to add edit or even create your own custom gauges and that program is FSPANELSTUDIO
This is a PAYWARE program but you can try before you buy. The only thing you can not do is to edit the Virtual cockpit
http://www.fspanelstudio.com/
As for sounds they have to be defined in the sound folder of each aircraft
You can create your own sounds
<<s
Jetways can be created in scenery and can even work but this is not something for the beginner.

Hi
>> Utilities such as ground vehicles and stairs are built into the model and cannot be added if they are not there. Some models have these -- some don't. TDS for example do.
Same with the upper panels - usually this part of the VC cannot be edited in FS Panel Studio unless they work in the 1st place. If you don't see the finger pointer when hovering your mouse over the dials then they can't be made to work.

>> Jetways (which do exist in most of the main default airports) can be fixed up in the aircraft.cfg file under the [Exits] section. Do a google search for whatever aircraft you are looking for and make your edits. - Here is one quite good source - http://forum.simflight.com/topic/48819- ... fix-patch/ (It WILL vary for aircraft from different designers - but just play around and you'll get there)

>> As for missing gauges - what A340-600 are you having problems with? I am not aware of any aircraft in simviation with missing gauges. Any such problem reported would be either fixed or the bad file removed. MANY freeware aircraft and VC's are better than many payware aircraft - period. Most of the recent jetliners have fully functioning FMC's.

The only thing you can not do is to edit the Virtual cockpit

Yes you can edit VC's --- just the same as the 2d panel :)

Good morning very sorry for the delay in answering your posts, I was/am very busy.....which is good..

To Pete and Garymbuska...

I understand that you cant get EVERY THING working due to the limitation of FSX, but cant we get a basic format that the people who design the planes use it, or a basic configuration....I dont mean fire extinguishers and a jet engine on fire, radio for maydays, dump fuel, landing gear missing, etc. but backup alt and speed should work as the buttons for landing lights, have landing lights, signs and sound for sealt belts and smoking, pitot, apu, etc, ( A340-600 of Lufthansa, Iberia, and similars, dont work ( unless you fix them in config. ), Some Airbus upper panels do have working light buttons, apu, pitot, and others, but many others dont.....only the recording button....that is why Im asking...follow a pattern. If you dont get ground service, ok..a gate will door or as the 737s have there own staircase, but then give full landing lights and the front gear light to turn as the plane turns.....in the MDs ( the ones Ive seen, only have taxi lights, ), and many other crafts dont have the main landing light turn with the plane....
Some Vcs are fuzzy, cant read the indicators of speed, alt, N!, etc...others are excelent...
Im not complaining about the FMCs working or not...some are great others dont work...Some designers put the icons in other buttons so to hide them and other designers put them in a different part of the main panel...but they all work.
As for me, personally Im hooked with ARLOTs 717-200 and other of his works, although the 717-200 is missing the opening side windows, no landing lights (MUST HAVE), no FMCs, no sound for the on/off sealt belts and smoking sign (SHOULD HAVE) and no knobs for the wipers. Fix this and its an A1 airplane...but I supose it has its limitations as any other craft.
The other thing I have seen is that some ATRs 42-500, have the auto pilot of the 737.........as for me its not right..each plane to its own panel......its easy to use, probably, but it dosent belong there.....
There is a lot of simple details that should be a must in any aricraft...but I supose that to each in owne...
Im not writing this for a hard discussion, to insult or offend anybody, just asking for something better for ALL USERS...
Thank you very much for any feed back, .......safe landings....
