LOCKHEED C-5

Postby rmb823 » Thu Aug 13, 2015 6:16 am

I downloaded the LOCKHEED GALAXY C-5 from simviation, it works well except I cannot find the heading bug on the panel to set the automatic pilot heading. I found the altitude hold, and the speed hold, but I can't locate the automatic heading hold. Can anyone tell me where it is located. I did find the nav 1 obs but it doesn't do a heading hold for me.

Thanks
Bob

It is likely that it does not have one.
Give us the exact name of the file you down loaded and we can check it out.
If this does not have that gauge you can always add one providing you have the means of doing so.
You can manually insert a gauge into any panel but doing so without a program is at best trail and error as you have to know the exact coordinates to put it. If you guess wrong the gauge will wind up someplace where you do not want it.
There is at least one program out there that makes this tasks as simple as can be. FSPANELSTUDIO. It does have a fully functioning trail version.
Sorry if I sound like I am advertising here just trying to help.

Have you looked at the pop-up autopilot panel?
It can be accessed by pressing shift+(number) ..... I don't know what number.
See if the heading hold button is present in that panel and let us know what you find.

I just finished down loading this aircraft I am at work right now but after looking through the panel cfg file I was unable to spot a heading gauge.
When I get home I will be able to look at the actual panel and see if there is a gauge. If it does not have a heading I can put one in the aircraft and email it to you if you want. Just let me know
