Thanks
This is caused by the light that the aircraft is using for the panel.
You first need to find out which light it is using than substitute a different light from a aircraft that has a good panel light.
Open the aircraft cfg file for this aircraft and look for the following section
[LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing
light.0 = 3, -52.22,-103.52, 11.38, fx_navredh ,
light.1 = 3, -52.22, 103.52, 11.38, fx_navgreh ,
light.2 = 3, -54.34,-103.64, 11.38, fx_navwhih ,
light.3 = 3, -54.34, 103.64, 11.38, fx_navwhih ,
light.4 = 3,-139.00, 0.00, 8.42, fx_navwhih ,
light.5 = 2, -51.00,-103.40, 11.38, fx_strobeh ,
light.6 = 2, -51.00, 103.40, 11.38, fx_strobeh ,
light.7 = 1, -5.00, 0.00, -6.25, fx_beaconb ,
light.8 = 1, 22.00, 0.00, 18.30, fx_beaconh ,
light.9 = 4, 93.21, 0.00, 8.75, fx_vclighth ,
The line that reads light.9 = 4,93.21, 0.00, 8.75,fx_vclighth,
this is the line you need to change
All of these lights are found in the effects file of FSX
The file fx_vcligth is what you need to change.
If you have added the effects for this aircraft and overwrote this file than any aircraft that uses the same file will now have the same problem.
You should have got a message stating that a duplicate file was found and if you ignored it you are sunk.
Any time you get a message like this you need to stop and check it out before proceeding.
