Latest Flightsim aircraft downloads

Postby gilboy » Thu Jul 16, 2015 5:38 am

I have noticed just recently that there are no installation instructions in the 'read me files' for an example the TDS FSX Virgin Australia 737-Max 8 package, that's just one of the latest available download's. Anybody have any thoughts on this please.

gilboy,

The Uploader probably forgot to include the Installation Instructions in the Readme.txt file. You would probably have to contact the Uploader to get an answer, but unfortunately he did not include any Contact Info, either.

The FSX Package was originally compiled by Chris Evans... perhaps you could do a Search for his Name, find another TDS Package he worked on, and use those Install Instructions for the Virgin AUS package.

Hope this helps!

Alan :)

Hi gilboy

My apologies for not includin the upload instructions. My name is Jacques Louw & I am the uploader of most of the rescent TDS Boeing 737-Max8 repaints.

1 step: Download the original package for the TDS Boeing 737-Max8 here:

http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1 ... p&x=14&y=8

You can also find the Ryanair Boeing 737-Max8 model here:

http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1 ... egoryId=54

2nd step: Copy the texture folder for the repaint you downloaded into the folder for this aircraft, after you have installed it.

3rd step: take the following info and paste it into your aircraft.cfg file... save the new file and replace the old one with the newly saved one.

[fltsim.XX]

description=The 737-Max which Boeing has launched. The first release from us is the 737-Max8, which is the most popular model in this series. Basic info: the 737-Max is a re-engined and aerodynamically refined model of the 737-NG (Next Generation) series. The series includes the 737-Max7 , Max8 & Max9. The new engine is a Leap-X1B and for putting in this huge engine, the nose gear is extended. Also for making less drag, the tail section's shape is changed. Wingtip design is also changed to a Y shape to make less drag and also for having more lift.

Please remember to change the [XX] to the next number in line. This is very important!

I hope this helps :)

Kind regards

Please don't think that I am ungrateful for all the hard work that goes into producing these 'Free' aircraft and that the people involved are far cleverer than me but can the installation of these TDS downloads be made any easier. The installation from previous downloaded aircraft by other suppliers was very straightforward when following the readme txt. Can the TDS downloads follow there lead please.
