Nose gear steering

Postby blackgranada77 » Mon Jun 15, 2015 9:17 pm

Hi again. Just installed L1011-100 Tristar Hawiian Airlines Pkg. Having trouble with nose gear steering. When I turn my joystick to go left the nose gear turns right and when I turn it to go right the nose gear turns left. Have checked and recalibrated my joystick but no luck. What could be the problem and how do I fix it. Thanks......

Make sure that you select the controller that you want to change, and check or uncheck as needed.

Thanks, tried your suggestion, didn't work. Noticed all three of my L1011-100 aircraft Hawaiian Eastern and TWA do the same thing while my Lockheed L-1011 TRISTAR 500 pkg works fine. Will try to reinstall and see if that works.

Reinstalled all L1011-100 aircraft. Still have same problem. Aircraft goes right while nose gear is pointing to the left and the same for going left while nose gear points right.

This seems to me like an old bug of this model. The aircraft turns right, but the wheel goes left, correct?

If yes then I had this model already years ago and replaced it with CaptainSim L-1011.

Use the zip file name in search at FSCom and you'll be taken straight to the file for download (ie: 'L1011p1.zip'). No need to know what category it's under. At SimViation (here) the file name is 'L1011upX.zip', and it will be under FSX Civil Jets. Anything else I can do for you? Install it? (heehee).

I know it is hard to find a certain file with just 'L1011 patch'. That is why I provided a PICTURE (worth 1000 words) of the file listing. I know this Simming business (zip's, cfg's, fix, patch, update, mods, edits, variation, paint, etc - hehe) may be new, and maybe, scarry, but you'll catch on soon with just a little practice.

Required is that"Automatic-Rudder" is set in FSX. Some addon-planes have no nosewheel-function (or tailwheel like Piper Cub).
So the RealAir-Duke Turbine can both----must be chosen by installation. Options to change plane-configs ---not easy :(
