Default planes fps vs Payware planes fps

Postby Flytracy7 » Thu May 07, 2015 2:07 pm

I noticed that when I load up a default plane my fps is up near 40. Yet my payware planes are always below 15 fps. Is this the normal? I have been learning of way to tweek the cfg files in FSX. Cant see much difference even when I turn most if not all sliders way down.

Any info would greatly be appreciated.

It's not a question of default v's payware.

It's a question of complex v's streamlined for FPS, which is what most of the default FSX are mainly about. (not all)

Have you got FSX Acceleration with, the F18 for example? That's a good default aircraft.

There are also many good freeware complex aircraft such as those from Dino Cattaneo, freeware Iris, Alejandro Lucena, Milton Shupe, Jens Christensen, Warwick Carter, Icaro, Dave Maltby, Posky, Thomas Ruth ... etc etc etc ...

It's really a question of model complexity. Not 'payware'

Yes I have FSX Gold. I noticed it had good fps too on the F-18, Yet my Alabeo Diamond DA42 Twinstar will only get about 13 fps max.
Same thing with the Carenado TBM 850
