Still have a problem with HS748 2d cockpit

Postby Modlerbob » Sun Apr 26, 2015 10:25 pm

I originally downloaded the HS748 and found the 2D forward view had no outside, just black, and the instruments were out of position, I then noted the panel fix file and downloaded it. which fixed the outside view but left the panel with no gauges. I just downloaded the latest version, a RAF HS748 and it still has the same problems. Anybody else having these problems or am I just plain stupid?

Hi,
I have installed this aircraft on FSX and I found a problem with the 2D panel. Gauges are visible but not correctly placed.
To fix it, I modified the panel.cfg file this way:

[Window00]
file=HS7_Main52.bmp
size_mm=1024,768 <<--- this line
window_size_ratio=1.000
position=7
visible=1
ident=MAIN_PANEL
window_size= 1.000, 1.000
window_pos= 0.000, 0.000

Are you using FSX or FS9?

PS: I think you are not stupid

The other reason one might not see any gauges in a aircraft is that there are no gauges for it. I have seen it happen where someone must have been in a hurry to upload there aircraft and forgot to include the gauges for the panel.
The quickest way to find out is to open the aircraft cfg file and look in the first window that is described as this is usually the main panel view you should see gauge files be referenced just do a search for some of them .
The other way to solve a problem like this is to us FSPANEL STUDIO http://www.fspanelstudio.com/index.htm
This is a payware program but you can use the full version on a trail basis before you have to purchase it.
This program will work with any version of Flight Simulator. It is very easy to use, You do not have to have a PHD in math or any other subject to use this.
If you are wanting to edit or create gauges or just look to see if any gauges are missing in a panel than this is the program you need to have.
All you have to do to add any gauge to any aircraft is to click the add gauge button select the gauge than simply drag it to where you want it at as you are looking at the actual panel that you will see when flying the aircraft, than drop it. It is just that easy.

Had the same problem and the fixes didn't do it. So I played with it and upload the results to "FSX Panels"

Thanks for the replies. I haven't had a chance to act on all of the suggestions yet but if one works I will post the results.

I think this fix is an update of michael Pook's original fix?
