The other reason one might not see any gauges in a aircraft is that there are no gauges for it. I have seen it happen where someone must have been in a hurry to upload there aircraft and forgot to include the gauges for the panel.
The quickest way to find out is to open the aircraft cfg file and look in the first window that is described as this is usually the main panel view you should see gauge files be referenced just do a search for some of them .
The other way to solve a problem like this is to us FSPANEL STUDIO
http://www.fspanelstudio.com/index.htmThis is a payware program but you can use the full version on a trail basis before you have to purchase it.
This program will work with any version of Flight Simulator. It is very easy to use, You do not have to have a PHD in math or any other subject to use this.
If you are wanting to edit or create gauges or just look to see if any gauges are missing in a panel than this is the program you need to have.
All you have to do to add any gauge to any aircraft is to click the add gauge button select the gauge than simply drag it to where you want it at as you are looking at the actual panel that you will see when flying the aircraft, than drop it. It is just that easy.
