G1000 Data base update/Nexrad add to

Hi I was wondering, is there an update for the G1000 data base. I have the Diamond DA42 Twinstar with G1000 PFD/MFD however , the data base shows 2006 ???? Also I would like to know if anyone knows how to ad the Nexrad to the MFD option. If so, where might I download it, and install it?
