For those of you that did not notice they asked for beta testers here some time back.

People were either contacted by email directly or via PM's on here.

What or who is a beta tester? I only deal with stuff that displays and performs within the limits of my flicker box. Sorting out something like alpha channels and batch files is way over my internal processor functions. Most of what I understand about simming I get from the forums and people who have actually done geek speak and I really do not see how this wheel needs re-inventing but maybe new grease or perhaps better bearings. :geek: :geek:

A beta tester is someone who is willing to test a newly developed program. I am currently a beta tester at work because I am testing WORLDSHIP for UPS.
By being a beta tester you get the chance to look at a game or program before anyone else does. Of course you have to accept the possibility for errors which is why they beta test before they release it. They want to make sure that everything is working the way it is supposed to.
So far while working with WORLDSHIP I have discovered several problems that will have to be fixed before they release the actual program at the first of the year.
And as we speak Dovetail Games is beta testing FSX I am not sure how long this will go on before they release the game. Just keep your ears and eyes open I am sure Dovetail Games will make a announcement when they release it.

I will stay tuned. When I stumbled on fs5 I was enthralled with the graphics. Of course I loved win 3.1 at the time. From what I gather the way fs9 and fsx are compiled things get pokey and graphic overload happens. One of these days I will get a puter (flicker box) that will not flinch at a mere snake in the road. Here's hoping that whatever comes out that it will be backwards compatible to some extent. 8-) 8-)
