Postby Bass » Wed Sep 10, 2014 8:41 am

I do need some air in the front wheel on my stuck c172. Anyone else noticed this!

I've tried with a cyckle pump, but after a few moments, i do need air for myself

Been around some .cfg points in other planes, but no avail yet

Looks like a good time to practice a "Soft Field Take Off". ( I won't mention anything about preflight inspections or any of that superfluous stuff )

An Aircraft Mechanic only needs two tools, Duct Tape and WD40.
If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.

Have you tried changing the length of the nose-wheel slightly in the Aircraft.cfg file? I can never recall if shorter or longer is the right fix, but I seem to recall ONE of those is...

You have to edit the "contact points" in the .cfg file. The nose wheel should be the first entry. It looks like it should be extended (made more "negative") by about .5 feet.

I'm away from my PC, so that's just a guestimate.

I might practice that, Hawk, when i'm all alone

Thanks guys.
I got the A2A 172 aircraft.cfg from a freind, which dont have that tiny "problem", but taking points from there, dont seem to make any differences!
Well, i can sure live with it, but i think you know, when something isn't right, its hard to forget about it
