Backing up my FSX

I have just bought FSX Gold. I would like to know how to back up my copy either to another disk or to my hard drive. I attach a picture of the serial label to show that I have a genuine copy.

I will presume you want to backup your EXISTING fsx install, before installing Gold?

Best bet is to get a disk imaging software and an external hard drive. This will create an exact copy of your hard drive on the external drive for safe keeping.
This is a very good method to ensure that if you have problems (even outside of FSX related ones) you can easily revert back. Make regular backups, like even weekly, to reduce the loss when you have problems.

No, I mean how do I back up the FSX CD which also includes Acceleration. A bit of naive here with computers

It'll make perfect ISO files of any disc you want. Just safe them to your harddrive and, if necessary, install FSX with VirtualCloneDrive directly from the ISO file. No need for your precious DVD anymore.
