GAUGE FILE ATR.TOGGLE31.GAU

Postby mo123pep » Sat Jan 04, 2014 8:02 pm

I just downloaded Danny Garnier's F-16 ViperCOANG aircraft and I am getting an error message that my "atr_toggle31" gauge file is only supported in FS9. It is presently being used in the panel.cfg file as a "gauge04" reference in the Window01 section for F-16 Viper COANG aircraft. Does any one know where I can locate a newer version of this file? Right now mine has a 7/7/2000 created date on it. Thanks for any help you can give me. Mike Owens

PS - I just hope that this is correct file as I can not locate Danny's email address to ask him.

Hi Mike,

I have tested this panel and I have no error messsage except an alert concerning cessna208.gau

May be it's not the same aircraft. Could you send me the reference of the F16 you downloaded, I will have a look.

Have a nice day

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think the problem arises because I am using FSX ACC with Windows 7. I tried putting a '//" in front of the line referencing the "atr_toggle31" (gauge04) reference in the panel.cfg file and the error message went away but I did not have the upper left hand panel (swith panel) in the cockpit. The file that I downloaded was "http://simviation.com/1/download-file?file=ViperCOANG-1.zip&fileId=40915" and did have another F-16 model in the AC directory (F-16 Demo Pack 1) and it had a different problem. I have been dealing with a lot of issues regarding the afterburners, light functions, and "smoke" effects in ACC with the FSX AC files and have been able to solve most of them thanks to a lot of help from others (Bob C., Scrubby, Brian S., Michael P. and Albert W.). I am going to try and take out the Demo Pack F-16 and see if that helps. Any other ideas or suggestions would be welcome. Mike O.

By the way, I just downloaded the VIPERDEN (http://simviation.com/1/download-file?f ... ileId=2607) version of the F-16 and got the same error message. Not sure it the "atr.toggle31.gau" file does not seem to be compatible with FSX ACC and Windows 7. It is common to all of the F-16 aircraft modified by Danny Garnier and leaves a blank space in the upper left hand corner of the cockpit panel. Still not sure how to over come this one as, it seems, most of the F-16 packages have this same file reference in the panel.cfg. Suggestions welcome. Mike O

Hi Mike,

I have installed Viperden F16 and I have not the message concerning the gauge. I'm using Win XP, may be it's due to that.
On the other hand, this panel looks bad mainly the VC which has no transparent backround (not easy to fly with!)
If I have time, I will built another panel with 100% compatible gauges. Currently I'm working on a Vickers VC10 panel (hard work), when I finish it, I will work on this F16. So, one day you will have a new package on Simviation with a working panel.
